Bastardización: Los AguaKates “La caja de la gloria” (Cover a Portishead)

Estrenando nuestra nueva sección de ‘Bastardizaciones’, compartiremos lo que a nuestro parecer son las más curiosas y mejores adaptaciones/tropicalizaciones al español de otras canciones y clásicos. En vísperas de unas entregas especiales a fin de mes y simplemente porque dan mucha risa (y a veces vuelan la cabeza).
El caso es que ahora el staff de PanameriKa cachó esta joyita, que corre a cargo de Los AguaKates, grupo que presentó su debut hace poco. Es un cover a “Glory Box” que.. bueno, menos blablabla y más tititití:
No creímos que el día llegara, pero sí, es Portishead en cumbia. Los AguaKates se presentan esta noche en el Foro Shakespeare de la Condesa, en la Ciudad de México.

La neta es que si los Portishead escuchan esto, si se andaban echando el danzón.
Aunque en un principio me recordó a Thalía cantando “Marimar”, debo recalcar que la ejecución musical es brillante. La pecularidad de la versión no le roba ni vulgariza la original. En eso consiste la “tropicalización”… rehacer una canción hasta hacerla propia.
