Pues llegó el día y Los Amparito llegaron a la Ciudad de México. Sin palabras ni nada, de repente iniciaron su show. Proyecciones visuales, laptop, sintetizador; y ahora un bajo y percusiones electrónicas tocadas en vivo. De su origen electrónico hacia estos ritmos y texturas, se muestran poco a poco menos sintéticos: con sus sampleos presentes pero llenos de vida y mezclados con detenimiento. El grupo fue envolviendo a los asistentes poco a poco, hasta cautivar su atención totalmente con sus ambientes.
Si algo funciona a favor del sonido, es el tratamiento visual que se ha hecho para la música y la sincronía encontrada. Los Amparito cuentan con una pantalla que proyecta miles de retratos de estética folklórica mexicana en todo su esplendor, como voladores de papantla, calaveras o frutas; a su vez siempre barridos con todo tipo de filtros y explosiones coloridas hechas fractales. La edición y ritmo en ellos convierte los detalles particulares menos tomados en cuenta de una región, en una perspectiva curiosa, distinta y fascinante.
Es larga la tarea de trasladar el detalle de las experimentaciones caseras de laptop a las expresiones cálidas de una banda que le pone su alma a esta música colorida. Y ahí está la magia: hay una distancia pronunciada entre el click & cut en algoritmos digitales de Pepepe y la sonoridad de un ensamble cuidando el detalle de las texturas. Como pasar de una gota de agua a un océano o como despertar la mínima atención de un ser hasta tenerlo totalmente exhaltado. Ese es el potencial de la banda. Si algo nos queda claro y seguro, es que este es un show que debe ser escuchado y debe ser visto.
